I know lots of you use Red Heart Super Saver Yarn. It's broadly available, affordable yarn with lots of color choices. It's also a pretty rough yarn. I found this DIY to soften Red Heart SS and I can't wait to try it!

I got a question. Would it be okay if I advertise for a skype session here? I need some help with a crochet technique and I've been trying to do it like in the videos but I dunno what I am doing wrong.

So you want to ask if anyone can help you on Skype? You can ask here in the comments, but if you make a journal about it or something, we can't add it to our gallery.

I have a very important question to ask after reading Etsy faq. I do plan to open a shop on Etsy some time next year to sell some things I have in mind. Some of those things would include things such as, for example, a pillow in crochet with a symbol that is included in a game. Even after reading that faq about copyright and such, taking that idea as an example, how far am I allowed to sell said item? It's just, all this is kind of... dificult to understand. So if any of you Etsy members could enlighten me, I would be very appreciated.

EDIT: I'm sure what I wanted to talk about is, how far are we allowed to sell fan art related items?

In theory no, you can not sell or reproduce this kind of stuff anywhere, unless you have permision from the owner of the game/character/symbol. But, in the real life, everybody (myself included) does sell and reproduce anything. And in most cases Etsy won't do anything to you or your shop if you do that. I say "most cases" because I've already heard of someone who had to take off all of her pokemon plushies from her shop, but it wasn't Nintendo who asked that to Etsy, it was a big pokemon plushies company who did.
I'm pretty sure they write that stuff in their terms of use only so they won't be the ones to be sued in case the owners of the copyrighted things don't like what they see there.

But this is just what I understand of this topic, I really don't know if I'm right or not. And I really don't know how far we are allowed to sell fan art related items... And how far something stops being a "fan art" and turns into "copyright infringement product" when you sell them. I've read once that something is called "fan art" only if it's for personal use, and not when you sell it... But I don't know if it's true or not.
