If anyone on here is really good at writing patterns, I can really use your help. Some friends of mine are getting married and I would like to make an afghan for them. Sadly, all of the programs I have tried to use to make a graph don't work for me and I can make a pattern graph by hand. If anyone has a good program that they wouldn't mind creating the pattern on, I will gladly send the image of what I want the afghan to look like to you! Thanks in advance!

Hello, I find PCStitch is a very good one to use. You can upload your photo into it and voila! Graph's all done. There is a free version available that has all the features of the full version minus the ability to save. If you're interested in trying it you can find it at and if that still confuses you there are many graphghan groups that do free graphing in Facebook, I haven't used their services myself so I'm not quite sure on the waiting time.

I was wondering if I could get a bit of help/ideas? I'm making a bunch of hats for poor children in my community. My hope is to make quite a few by next winter, especially because it gets to -50 degrees Celsius here. So I'm wondering if people had any good patterns for children's toques? Preferably ones that have cute/popular characters involved (the only one I have so far is a minion hat) I would greatly appreciate some help, and if you can help please reply on my journal?
Also, I'm a university student so I don't have much money, what's a good brand of yarn that doesn't cost too much?

I need ideas! I've been working on a 'line' of cup cozies and have been given the suggestion to do a series of uniforms.. Check out my journal entry entitled "Dress up that Cup!" to submit an idea.

Thanks in advance :D
